Terms and Conditions

This website uses technical cookies to ensure the proper functioning of procedures and improve the user experience of online applications. This document provides information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, how they are used by the site and how to manage them.

Definitions

Cookies are small text files that the sites visited by users send to their devices, where they are stored and then sent back to the same sites on the next visit. So-called "third-party" cookies are, instead, set by a website different from the one the user is visiting. This is because each site may contain elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains, etc.) that are hosted on servers different from that of the visited site.

Types of cookies

Based on the features and use of cookies, different categories can be identified:

- Technical cookies. Technical cookies are those used solely to "carry out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service" (see art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). They are not used for further purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or operator of the website. They may be divided into browsing or session cookies, which ensure normal browsing and use of the website; analytics cookies, treated as technical cookies where used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregated form, on the number of users and how they visit the site; functionality cookies, which allow the user to browse according to a set of selected criteria in order to improve the service provided. For the installation of these cookies, prior user consent is not required, while the obligation to provide the information notice pursuant to art. 13 of the Code remains, which the site operator, if it uses only such devices, may provide in the manner it deems most appropriate.

- Profiling cookies. Profiling cookies are intended to create profiles relating to the user and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the web. Due to the particular intrusiveness these tools may have within users' private sphere, European and Italian law provides that the user must be properly informed about their use and thus give valid consent. They are referred to in art. 122 of the Code, which states that "the storage of information in the terminal equipment of a contractor or a user, or access to information already stored, is permitted only on condition that the contractor or the user has given consent after being informed in the simplified manner referred to in article 13, paragraph 3" (art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). This website does not use profiling cookies.

"Third-party" cookies

By visiting this website you may receive cookies from sites managed by other organisations ("third parties"). An example is the presence of "social plugins" for Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or LinkedIn, or embedded (integrated) multimedia content display systems such as YouTube, Flikr. These are elements generated directly by the above-mentioned sites and integrated into the web page of the host site visited. The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all sites managed by third parties. The management of information collected by "third parties" is governed by the relevant privacy notices, to which you are kindly referred. To ensure greater transparency and convenience, the web addresses of the various notices and the methods for managing cookies are provided below.
