Francesca Girardello was born in Verona in 1960, daughter of the well-known Venetian painter Silvano Girardello, former professor and Director of the Verona Academy of Fine Arts, and of Carmela Orlando, teacher, painter, winner of national awards.

He graduated from the “Umberto Boccioni” Art High School in Verona in 1978, earning his art diploma.

She graduated in Education at the University of Verona in 1986, philosophy track, with a thesis entitled: “The Decline of the West in Heidegger and Jaspers”. During her university studies she had the opportunity (among others) to attend courses and take exams in Psychology, Philosophy, History and Aesthetics.

Start a career path in teaching at upper secondary schools.

In 1990, he won the “Ordinary Teaching Competition” for the subject of Social Psychology and Public Relations.

In the two-year period 1992/94 she obtained the “Specialization for teaching students with disabilities” (two-year state course - Verona School Office) with a thesis entitled: “Communication, learning, socialization, integration in the first two years of upper secondary school – some cases compared”

In 1999, he passed the reserved session for qualification to teach Philosophy and History in high schools.

Appointed as a tenured teacher since 2000, she taught Human Sciences for many years at the Human Sciences High School in Verona.

A scholar long interested in and exploring the relationship between psyche and art, since 2015 she has been a collaborating lecturer within the “Course on Art Education and its languages” held by lecturer Carmela Orlando Girardello at the “University of Lifelong Education” in Verona. Within the theoretical lessons given by the course leader, she contributes on topics related to Art and the Human Sciences, in particular on: “work of art, psyche, movements and authors”.

Training and artistic path of Francesca Girardello.

A careful scholar for many years of her father’s work and oeuvre, the well-known Venetian painter Silvano Girardello, she observed him during his artistic work and followed him in the context of his many exhibitions; she was guided by him and by her mother, the artist Carmela Orlando, in her study choices and in her artistic and humanistic training. During her high-school years she had the opportunity to attend courses held by artists of note for the city of Verona and at national level: “life drawing and the human figure” with the well-known painter and fresco artist Professor Aldo Tavella – “ornament” with the experimental artist Prof. Federico Chiecchi.

In 1978, he obtained the “Art Diploma” at the “Umberto Boccioni” Art High School in Verona.

In 1986 she earned a degree in Teaching - Degree course in Pedagogy – philosophical track at the University of Verona. During her university studies she had the opportunity (among others) to attend courses and take exams with professors such as Guido Neri (philosophy), Stefano Zecchi and Paolo Gambazzi (aesthetics), Giorgio Tinazzi: History of Theatre and Performance.

She was a tenured teacher in Verona’s upper secondary schools; since 2015 she has worked with Carmela Orlando Girardello within the course “Art Education and its Languages” at the “University of Lifelong Education” in Verona. During the course lessons she spoke on “Psychological, sociological, aesthetic and philosophical aspects linked to authors, art movements and works of art”. In particular on Art and Psyche; since 2017 she has also collaborated on the “Art-Painting Workshop” run by the course leader. Since 2018 the artist has been part of “Celeste” - Community for contemporary art professionals.
